Plans and usage
What the plans include, how usage is paid from your balance, who pays on a shared board, and the limits.
The plans
- Free, free
- Usage paid from balance you add, up to 3 boards, 50 changes a day from connected AI apps.
- Plus, $12 a month
- $12.00 of usage added every month, up to 5 boards, no limit on changes from connected AI apps.
- Pro, $30 a month
- $30.00 of usage added every month, unlimited boards, no limit on changes from connected AI apps, 11% more usage for every dollar.
Change plans, your card and invoices under Balance and plan → Manage plan, card and invoices. If a subscription stops, the account goes back to Free, and the balance stays.
How usage is paid
Asking the AI is paid from your balance, at what the answer really cost to make plus a margin. A short answer costs a fraction of a cent, a long document with a web search behind it a few cents. Web searches are added at cost plus the same margin.
- Welcome balance
- $0.25, once, for an account made with Google or Microsoft.
- Plans
- Every dollar of Plus and Pro becomes balance, and it rolls over.
- Top-ups
- A one-time payment from $10.00 to $500.00, no plan needed. Balance never expires.
- History
- Balance and plan shows your balance, what you spent in the last 30 days, and every payment and AI request.
No surprise bills
Before each step of an answer, the most it could cost is set aside. If the balance cannot cover it, the answer stops, says “I stopped early because the balance ran out”, and keeps what it made. When a request ends, you are charged what it really cost, exactly once. There is no overdraft and nothing is billed later.
A refund or a chargeback takes the matching balance back, which can leave it below zero until the next top-up.
Connected AI apps
Apps you connect over MCP, such as Claude or ChatGPT, use their own model, so they spend none of your balance. Free accounts can make 50 board changes a day through them, reset at midnight UTC; reading boards is free, and paid plans have no limit. See MCP server.
